For more than 18 years, Dimitry immersed himself in the nightlife and hospitality industry, creating unforgettable experiences and hosting some of the most recognized personalities in entertainment, sports, and business. While still in college, he co-built one of the first photo-driven nightlife platforms in the Midwest—an ecosystem that not only captured social moments, but pioneered sponsor-driven regional event marketing.
From grand openings and fashion shows to private events and film premieres, Dimitry’s company consistently delivered high-impact experiences for clients and audiences.

In 2008, Dimitry relocated to Las Vegas to help launch what became the most expensive and successful nightclub in the world: XS Nightclub at Wynn/Encore Resorts. This environment gave him a rare front-row seat to global culture, elite hospitality, and high-level operations—sharpening his leadership instincts and expanding his network to some of the world’s top creators, athletes, executives, and innovators.
Working at XS allowed me to meet extraordinary people from around the world. The relationships and skills I developed there shaped the entrepreneur and builder I am today.
Creative & Technical Background
Dimitry studied Computer Engineering at Iowa State University, focusing on software development before teaching himself advanced web and graphic design. By 2012, he founded BananaDog Media, an award-winning creative and development agency serving over 70+ clients across Las Vegas and Los Angeles.
With more than 17 years of experience, he has designed and engineered over 140 digital products—spanning custom web applications, branding systems, e-commerce, AI integrations, marketing assets, and enterprise-grade software solutions.

After retiring from nightlife at the end of 2014, Dimitry shifted fully into technology and entrepreneurship—building companies, leading engineering teams, and developing products that blend user experience, advanced software, and modern business strategy.
As CTO and Creative Director of PracticeOwl, he designed and built a first-of-its-kind patient education and engagement platform—engineering .NET-powered systems, custom EHR integrations, analytics-driven media players, and a Stripe-based financial framework.
